NOTE: First of all I would like to thank all that have been waiting patiently for their photos. I truly appreciate it! I have had some critical family moments over the past 2 months. Everything, at the moment, is stable, knock on wood!! I have lowered my price for the 2010 Show Photos to compensate for the length of time it has taken to finally load them to the website. becoming a princess.

We rescued Freeway on April 16, 2003, on busy I-80 interstate
highway, where he was playing in 6 lanes of heavy traffic. We were the only car
to even slow down for him as he crossed all 6 lanes of traffic without a care
in the world. We tried for three weeks to find his original owners. He was thin,
hungry, an dirty with scabs on his ears and neck, but has matured to be a beautiful
Husky with a gentle outgoing personality. He loves to talk to us in soft "woo's",
has become a senior member of our family, and still has that same carefree attitude
as when we first met.

We rescued Lucy from an animal shelter in South Chicago Heights
on April 10, 2008. When we first saw her, she had fly bites all over her ears,
bite scabs on her neck and shoulders, and had contracted heart worm. She had no
social skils with people or dogs, and looked depressed but still like she had
potential. We took her home, nursed her through recovery from spaying and the
heartworm treatments, and started on her non-existent social skills. We had limited
success until we let her play with one our 2 month old puppies, where she reverted
to puppy-hood, and we watched her grow up all over again. She still acts like
a "Red-Headed Lucy" at times but is a loving member of our family beginning
to learn Obedience and Agility, and shows a natural ability in harness as a sled
dog.

Cinnamon was a last minute addition to
my wish list of six huskies to choose from. Being a difficult decision, my east
coast friends suggested adopting her. What a good choice!Since last year's Rescue
Parade, Cinnamon, passed the CGC and TDI tests in March 2010, and in May of 2010
became registered with Therapy Dog International. She enjoys weekly hospital/patient
visits. Next up is to review the Tail Waggin Tutors DVD to see where we can participate
with helping to read with children. In December, Cinnamon will be part of the
sled team escorting Santa into the mall, and I'm still hoping that she will begin
to "woo" at us.
