Our Heritage
The Siberian Husky Club of Greater Chicago was founded in 1973 with a singular purpose: to preserve the ancient heritage of the Siberian Husky. Our origins trace back to a small group of dedicated enthusiasts who sought to protect the breed's unique characteristics and working history.
Over the decades, we have grown into a vibrant community serving the Greater Chicago area. We bridge the gap between historical preservation and modern activity, offering members the chance to participate in dog sledding, agility, and obedience training.

We are dedicated to preserving the Siberian Husky breed through responsible breeding and education. Our mission is to promote the unique traits and heritage of our dogs while fostering a community of excellence in Greater Chicago.

To become a SHCGC member you must meet the following requirements: Attend 3 meetings or 2 meetings & a club function after which you may request an application. Membership dues must be submitted with the application to the club secretary.
     All applicants must be willing to sign and abide by the Club’s Constitution and Code of Ethics.
 Annual membership dues are $15.00 per person or $16 per person online (to cover fees)
